If you’re an academy or free school other than a 16 to 19 academy, you should publish details of your policy for excluding pupils.

This could include area’s such as the process of excluding a pupil, types of exclusion (long term, temporary etc), who are the key decision makers, how a parent or guardian can contest a decision, working from home, re-integration into the school environment etc.
